Flavorful caramel black tea |

This is the second tea I tried from the Chocolate Lovers collection. Like Chocolate Almond Allure, this tea has a bold flavor without the bitternous often accompanying black tea, but it lacks the chocolate flavor I was hoping for. The caramel does come through better than the chocolate, though, and the flavor is definately distinct from the slight nutty undertones found in Almond Allure. I always try new teas without the addition of sugar or cream first, but both definitely enhanced the flavor of this tea for me. Like Almond Allure, I can't give this tea 5 stars as it really doesn't live up to the "chocolate" hype in it's description, but I give it 4 as it has a very enjoyable flavor if you get past that expectation of chocolate. Trying to find the chocolate flavor in either of these teas reminds me of trying to find the "lime, ripe peach and biscuit flavor" described on the bottle of my chardonnay.

I was given this tea as a gift after visiting a spa. I have to say it was wonderful surprise when I came home on that snowy day and tasted this delightfully flavorful tea. What a treat.
