Nice black tea January 29, 2013

This was my first experience with Talbot Teas.  First let me say that the packaging is beautiful, making Talbot teas an excellent choice for gift giving.  The customer service was great...ordered on Wed, shipped on Thur, arrived Tues.  The claim of 30 servings in a tin is accurate even using "heaping teaspoons" per cup.  The smell was nice with subtle hints of chocolate and almond.  When brewed as directed, however, I got very little chocolate or almond flavor.  That being said, there was absolutely no bitterness despite a fairly bold black tea flavor.  It was smooth and enjoyable with the addition of a little rock sugar and cream.  If you love black tea in and of itself, you will likely love this one, but if you are searching for that substitute for chocolate you will be dissappointed.  I gave it 4 stars as the black tea flavor is quite enjoyable, packaging is beautiful, and customer service was good.  I couldn't give it 5 due to the lack of real chocolate or almond flavor.
